Tanks on the Streets: The Uprising of 17 June 1953 in East Germany
This is an innovative and dynamic exhibition recounting the story of the events of 1953 in the GDR. The exhibition’s narrative of the uprising is presented through posters and audio material created by students at the University of Chester (@uochester). The exhibition is scheduled to take place in June to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the uprising, and is the creation of Dr Richard Millington (@DDROnline) and one of the university’s Artists in Residence Steph Coathupe (@StephCoathupe).
